Prime for Life classes are intended for youth who have
experimented or have started to use drugs or alcohol on a regular basis. The goal of this program is education and
prevention of alcohol use and abuse. The Fatal Vision component of the program involves wearing the fatal vision
goggles, which simulates an intoxicated state while navigating an obstacle course. The classes are held at the
Walton County Sheriff's Office. Call The Partnership for class schedule. Referral Method: Mandated by School,
Court, DJJ or parent referral.

This program is taught in the fifth grade at all Walton County
schools by certified DARE Officers who are also certified Peace Officers. ADAP Program (Alcohol and Drug Awareness
Program)
This program is taught by certified Peace Officers at the
Walton County Sheriffs Office once a month. The ADAP program is the state of Georgia's Official program that all
teens must pass in order to receive a driver's license. Call in order to enroll and get class

Life Skills is a program designed to help youth and children
with vital skills needed for abstaining from drug and alcohol use. The topics include: effective communication,
assertiveness, peer pressure, social skills, self-esteem, and self-image. This program is currently being offered
at Monroe High School, Social Circle High School, Social Circle Middle School, Loganville Middle School, Carver
Middle School, Walton Alternative Center and Walker Park Elementary. Referrals are made through the school
counselor; however, parent referrals are accepted.

An SRO is a Peace Officer stationed at each middle and high
school for the purpose of prevention, education and law enforcement duties. The SRO has a limited supply of drug

This program addresses Life Controlling issues such as
substance abuse, gambling, and other addictions from a Christian Perspective. It is a 12 week program that meets
consecutively. Those who meet all the requirements of the class are eligible to graduate from the program
with a certificate. The class meets Monday night from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Lighthouse Church. This class is for
ages 16 and above.
